We here at Combat Cleanerz work too much to be full time philanthropists.

Besides, we don't have that type of money.

However, we bow to the idea that giving back to and participating in our community needs to be a line item as often as possible. These are some of the causes we've had the honor and privilege to associate our company with over the last little while:

The Donna Hiller Family Fire Fund - In the spring of 2011 Mrs. Donna Hiller lost her home and everything in a house fire. Luckily no one was harmed but everything she owned was consumed by the fire. Donations can be made at every Fidelity Discount and Deposit Bank. Just let the teller know that you would like to make a deposit into the Donna Hiller Family Fire Fund.

◊ Care and Concern Health Clinic - located in the old Seton Catholic High School, 37 William St., Pittston, PA. The clinic is open every Wednesday, with registration for basic health care between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. Phone 570.654.0053

The month of October, 2009, marks the second full year for the Care and Concern Health Clinic which is associated with St. John the Evangelist parish on William Street in Pittston.

These days politicians tend to go on and on about what's wrong with this country's health insurance system. The organizers of the Clinic actually go out and do something about it. Since October of 2008, the Clinic has offered free health services to over 1,542 people.

The Combat Cleanerz crew worked hard getting the floors for the new food pantry and center for clothing up to speed.

The Clinic is seeking volunteers, if you'd like to get involved, contact Cathy Rusnok at 570.654.0053 during any weekday or Gloria Blandina at 570.693.0766 during the evening hours.
